Daily Toil (256 Compositions) is a meditation on the idea of creation as everyday labor. Each day for one year, I created the same drawing, a simple composition of a circle within a rectangle. Through the process of completing this routine every day, the subtleties and individuality of each piece came to the forefront. By using such simple forms, routine labor and communication transcend their everydayness and serve as a reminder of the small wonders present in the commonplace.

*note: photo gallery only shows 90 of the 256 circles.
